Emery Polishing and PVC Layering

This line processes the sheet through emery bands, endowing it with a finishng that differs from the typical 2B or BA surface finishing. This special finishing is commonly known as EMERY POLISHING.

The burnishing stage eliminates any surface imprefections which may result from the emery poishing process. The burnishing head may also be used to to eliminate any shiny surface from the sheet in its oriinal state (2B or BA).

After the sheet has undergone these treatments, it is covered by a PVC layer to protect its surface and enable it to better withstand the processes of cutting, bending, piercing, etc.

This method of surface finishing / polishing is used in the field of gastronomy in general, as well as for elevator doors, escalators, metallic carpentry, etc.

THYSSENKRUPP FORTINOX produces emery sheets with protective layering on one or both sides, within the following measurements:
Width: from 0.50 to 4.00 mm
Minimum Measures: 500 x 1000 mm. (*)
Maximum Measures: 1500 x 4500 mm. (*)
Finishing types: Nº4 Finishing(150, 180, 220, and 320 grain, Satin Finish, and Hair Line).
